The First Look difference

Why buy a website you haven't seen?

Most designers ask you to commit first and see later. We flip it.

Hiring a web designer traditionally means committing based on a conversation, a proposal, a portfolio, or a promise.

We think there's a better way.

  1. 01We look at your business.
  2. 02We identify the opportunities.
  3. 03We create the design direction.
  4. 04You see it.
  5. 05Then you decide.
Show Me My First Look

How it works

See it first. Decide second.

Four steps, no guesswork, and nothing to sign before you've seen the direction.

01

We look at your business

Understand what the business does, who it serves, and what could be improved.

02

We create your First Look

Develop a website concept around the business, its customers, brand, and goals.

03

You see the direction

You see an actual design direction instead of having to imagine it.

04

You decide

If you love the direction, we discuss completing and launching the website.

Still not sure what you'd get? That's the point. You see it before you pay for it.

Our work

The First Looks speak for themselves.

A few projects, shown as they were created, labelled honestly as a concept or a launched site.

Calvary Baptist Church

Church
Challenge
A congregation that shows up every week, described online in a way that felt cold and hard to navigate, service times buried, visitors unsure what to expect.
First Look concept
A warm, welcoming design built around the people, not the building. Movement-led imagery, a plain-spoken welcome, and the word “belong” carried through the type.
What changed
Service times surfaced in a top bar and a card row, a single “Plan Your Visit” path for first-timers, and a sermon link for anyone who wants to hear one before they come.
Lake Jackson waterfront with dock and blue sky, promotional tagline about visiting and staying in Lake Jackson, FloridaFirst Look Concept

Lake Jackson RV Park

Campground & Tourism
Challenge
No website of its own. The park lived as a single buried page on the city site, no photos of the waterfront, no way to check availability, and nothing that made the place look worth the drive.
First Look concept
A standalone site that leads with the water. Full-width photography of the dock and shoreline, a warm “stay a while” tone, and the booking path moved to the top of the page.
What changed
A real destination presence instead of a page on someone else’s site, site types and amenities laid out clearly, an obvious way to check dates, and directions people can actually find.

Before / after

Your business changed. Did your website?

A website that was fine five years ago can quietly hold a good business back. Here's the shift we look for.

Before
  • Dated look
  • Cluttered layout
  • Weak on mobile
  • Hard to navigate
  • Poor visual hierarchy
  • No clear next step
After
  • Modern and confident
  • Clean and focused
  • Mobile-first
  • Clear messaging
  • Better information structure
  • Strong calls to action

Not a knock on anyone's past work, businesses evolve, and the website often doesn't evolve with them.

The moment they saw it

“We are highly interested and the new site looks amazing.”

Their previous website had cost considerably more, and still looked inexpensive and underperformed the way they expected.

$

Expensive doesn't automatically mean effective.

A bigger invoice is not the same thing as a better website. What matters is whether the design looks credible, reads clearly, and gives visitors a reason to take the next step.

That's exactly what the First Look lets you judge, before money changes hands.

Purpose

Your website has a job.

It shouldn't just sit there looking pretty.

  • Understand what the business does
  • Trust the business
  • Find useful information quickly
  • Understand why they should choose you
  • Know what action to take next
01

Design

Looks like the business it represents, credible at a glance, not templated.

02

Usability

Works properly on a phone, navigates clearly, and never makes people hunt.

03

Search visibility

Structured so both people and search systems can understand what you offer.

04

Conversion

Every page gives the visitor one obvious, easy next step to take.

Search & AI visibility

Search is changing. Your website should be ready.

Modern websites should make it easy for both people and search systems to understand who you are, what you offer, where you serve, and how to reach you.

No one can honestly guarantee rankings or AI recommendations. What we can do is build the structure that makes you easy to understand in the first place.

Request your First Look

Let's see what your website could be.

Tell us about your business. We'll look at it properly and come back with a design direction, so you can judge the work instead of a promise.

  • Nothing to sign yet

The First Look is a design direction, not a finished website.

  • You keep the decision

If you like it, we talk about the next step. If you don't, that's a fine outcome too.

  • Built around your business

Not a template with your logo dropped in the corner.

No sales pitch required. Let's start with the work.
